2008 Skagit River Cup
Updated May 18
GAME 1
Crossfire had a good edge in possession, but EFC 96 Red wouldn’t give up a good shot on goal.  Game ended 0-0.

GAME 2
Crossfire dominated possession and had multiple opportunities.  Final score was 2-0, with Crossfire needed a win tonight against the Vancouver Lions to advance to the finals.

GAME 3
Crossfire really turned it up a notch against the Vancouver Lions, with several shots hitting the crossbar and several others just wide of the goal.  Still, 3 shots, including a header goal on a corner kick, got into the goal to give Crossfire the 10-point max score in a 3-0 win.

Final
Crossfire scored 1st with just seconds left in the first half in what seemed like an awkward first half.  EFC came out fast and furious in the 2nd half and tied it up 1-1.  That’s how it ended and went into penalty kicks.  With a great goalie save and 3 solid PKs by Crossfire, it ended 3-1 with Crossfire taking the tournament championship.
