2008 MARYSVILLE STRAWBERRY CLASSIC GU-11 TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
Way to go Champions!!
What a great group of girls!! The last tournament of the season and it was definitely the most exciting. The tournament was spread over 4 days but Alistair had the girls focused each game and after three pretty dominating performances, the girls came up against a very strong team and came out on top 1-0 thanks to a very late penalty kick. In the final they did it again winning 1-0 against the same team!! You just don't see 1-0 games in Dev Soccer and to have it twice in one tournament sure made it exciting and fun. On the Weekend of May 17-18, our girls took part in their first tournament as the 2008 Crossfire GU11 Dev Gray team and boy did they come up big! We have seen them focus on skills and footwork and slowly learn to play positions as they have practiced these past three months and this was their first real opportunity to see how their work was coming together. Could any one of the parent’s have asked for more? Way to go Crossfire!!
