Wayne Crum, Don Baker, and a handful of dedicated volunteers were instrumental in developing the LWYSA Advanced Development Program. (Send us your stories to help us build our Club History pages!)
Crossfire Premier has been called by a few different names over its history, but the quality of coaching and play has been consistently of the highest caliber. The principal names the program/club has been known by are: the LWYSA Advanced Development Program (“ADP”); the Lake Washington Soccer Club; and, since 2002, it has been called the Crossfire Premier Soccer Club. (Individual team names were phased out with the renaming of the club, in favor of birth year/coach’s names designations.)
Some of the Club Presidents who have helped shape our Club into the pre-eminent Premier Soccer Club in Washington State include Wayne Crum, Rex Lund, Dennis Martin, Bill Hoover, Jim Harnasch, Lance McIntosh and Brian Klein (current club president.) In 1997, Alan Hinton was hired as our first Coaching Director and Jimmy Gabriel was hired as our Recreational Coaching Director. Peter Kirov succeeded Alan Hinton but stepped down in 2002 to devote more time to coaching his individual teams. NW Soccer legend Jimmy Gabriel, a Crossfire Coach, served for a time as Crossfire Premier Head Coaching Director.
