BIO:
Val Seid Played High School varsity soccer and select soccer with CYSA in California. After High School he played 2 years at UCLA and 2 years at San Jose State. For the last 8 years or so he has played with several men’s open division 1 and 2 teams for GSSL and PSSL, he also plays adult co-ed soccer with NWCSL.
Val has been coaching for about 7 years, he started coaching a boys U14 Rec. team coaching them for 5 years. After realizing how much he enjoyed coaching Val decided to try coaching at the high school level, which has always been one of his goals. Val joined Cleveland High School and was the Boys’ assistant varsity coach for 1 year before becoming the Varsity head coach for 2 years. After leaving Cleveland HS Val joined the Ballard High School Boys’ program as the head JV boys’ coach where he been for the last 4 years and is currently the assistant varsity coach. He spent two years at Bellevue HS as the head girls F/S coach and the goalkeeper trainer for the varsity squad. Val is Currently the head Girls Varsity coach at Ballard High School- earning a spot in the KingCo 4A playoffs and Coach of the Year for 2006. Val also started coaching at the Premier club level for FC Alliance Girls U15 Gold team as an assistant then taking over the team as head coach for the last 3 years.
Val has earned a USSF National “C” license and the national youth license. He Plans on taking the “B” class this summer
When not on the pitch you can find Val spending time with his very understanding wife and his 8 year old yellow lab. Val also runs a start-up non-profit that provides Digital Arts Resource’s to youth and youth organization called the Right Brain.
