(February 3, 2009) Read Crossfire Premier’s Kelyn Rowe’s story about why this talented soccer player decided to not play for his high school soccer and instead play for the Crossfire Academy team. Kelyn’s team competes nationally in the US Developmental Academy which is the most competitive league in the US and run by US Soccer. It has also become the feeder system for the US National teams, NCAA recruiting, and professional scouts. Unlike most of the country, local boy’s high school soccer is played in the spring which directly conflicts with the USDDA league. Kelyn is coached by Bernie James, who was chosen by US Soccer and his peers as the Coach of the Year in the Western Conference of the USSDA U18 Group. Read More...
