      <title>Former Crossfire Premier Players get chance at Professional Soccer</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 14px"><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">The past seven days have been exciting for a handful of Crossfire Premier Alumni trying to make it in the professional soccer ranks.&nbsp;Five former players were drafted into Major League Soccer and one got the opportunity of a lifetime when he signed to play in the English Premier League.&nbsp;The windfall started when Kelyn Rowe, formerly of the Crossfire Premier United States Soccer Development Academy Program, was drafted #3 overall in the MLS Super Draft by the New England Revolution.&nbsp;Next, former Washington Crossfire PDL player Chris Blais was picked #33 overall to the San Jose Earthquakes.&nbsp;A day later former Crossfire Premier player George John was loaned to West Ham United of the English Premier League from his current club FC Dallas.&nbsp;To end the tremendous week, three more former Crossfire Premier players were selected in the MLS supplemental draft.&nbsp;Jamie Finch of the Washington Crossfire PDL team went #29 by the Columbus Crew.&nbsp;Former Washington Crossfire and Crossfire Premier Youth player Doug Herrick was drafted at #46 by the Portland Timbers.&nbsp;&nbsp;The final draftee was&nbsp;former Crossfire Premier Youth player Brandon Zimmerman was chosen by the Philadelphia Union at the #70 position.&nbsp; All of this followed the Portland Timbers signing of thier first homegrown player Brent Richards in January.&nbsp;&nbsp;Richards played for Crossfire Premier in the Manchester United World Championships in Hong Kong and for a Crossfire Premier Super Y League team.&nbsp; Congratulations to all of the players and good luck with their new teams.</span></span></span></p>]]>

      <title>Crossfire Premier players and coaches travel to Italy</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Crossfire Premier Players Simon LeKressner, Angelo Calfo and Harrison Kurtz have been on a lot of exciting soccer trips over the course of their young careers, but none as big as the trip they are currently preparing for.&nbsp;Simon, Angelo and Harrison will leave on October 23<sup>rd</sup> for an 8 day trip that they will remember forever.&nbsp;The three will be traveling to Milan, Italy and training with the Inter youth teams as part of the partnership that Crossfire Premier has with Inter. &nbsp;They will be accompanied by Crossfire Premier Coaches Peter Hattrup, Steve Crum, Richard Reece and Justi Baumgardt.&nbsp;<br /><br /></span><strong><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Day 1</span></strong></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Today was a long day of travel.&nbsp; The group left Sea-Tac Airport on Sunday at 1:30pm and arrived in Amsterdam on Monday at 9am with the time change.&nbsp; After a much shorter flight to Milan, we all arrived at the Residence Siloe which is a 5 minute walk to the Inter Youth Academy training facilities.&nbsp; The rest of the day was spend resting and getting ready for the players first time on the field on Tuesday.<br /><br /><img alt="" width="233" height="310" src="http://www.crossfiresoccer.org/imgs/harrison%20travel.jpg" />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Some of the coaches headed&nbsp; downtown to see some of the sights, including the Piazza del Duomo.&nbsp; The coaches were able to visit inside the Duomo Cathedral and the walk around the Duomo shoping district.&nbsp; In the afternoon the players finally got to do what they came here for, they trained with the Inter Youth Academy.&nbsp; Harrison Kurtz trained the older team and Angelo Calfo and Simon LeKressner trained with the younger team.&nbsp; Uploading pictures&nbsp;has become&nbsp;more dificult.&nbsp; We will load as many pictures as&nbsp;we can on the trip and then upload a bunch more next week when we&nbsp;are back at&nbsp;home.<br /><br />Today the&nbsp;we did a little more&nbsp;sight seeing and then the&nbsp;boys went to training.&nbsp;&nbsp;We stoped by the Sforza castle for a quick tour.&nbsp; It is quite impressive, we didn&rsquo;t realize how big it was untill we got to walk around the grounds.</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">Today at training the boys&nbsp;felt like they were starting to get more comfortable.&nbsp;       <title>Second Annual Crossfire Inter Residential Camp was a huge success!</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: Tahoma">For the second year in a row the Crossfire Residential Camp was a tremedous success.&nbsp; This year Crossfire teamed with Inter of Milan, Italy to jointly operate the camp.&nbsp; Multiple coaches from Itally help to staff and coordinate the camp.&nbsp; Over 500 players attended camp over the two week period at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island.<br /><span style="font-size: 11px">&nbsp;<br /></span>Thanks to all that help make camp such a fun experience for the coaches and players!<br /><span style="font-size: 11px">&nbsp;<br /></span>In 2012 the Crossfire Inter Residential Camp will be expanding to three, one week sessions.&nbsp; Look for more details later this fall!</span></span></span></p>]]>
