Jude Zamora and Jose Gonzalez, who both play for the Crossfire Premier B03-A team and Crossfire U-13 Development Academy, were called into the next U.S. U-14 Youth National Team Training Camp by Head Coach Clint Peay. The U.S. Under 14 Boys’ National Team will be holding the domestic camp in Carson, California, from February 18-25, 2017.
Zamora was first noticed by U.S. Soccer scouts and technical staff at the Development Academy U-13 West Region Showcase in November, and then the pair of Crossfire players were highlighted by U.S Soccer scouts in attendance at the AS Roma USA Academy Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, FL, in December, where AS Roma technical staff were also in attendance to scout American players.
“We’re all happy for Jude and Jose, and that their talent and hard work has been recognized,” said Crossfire Director Bernie James. “Participation with U.S. Youth National Teams is a goal for many of our Academy-level players, and it can be an important part of these players’ overall development pathway. We’re pleased we can provide them with the platform to be noticed and an everyday training environment that continues to give them opportunities to improve.”
