US Youth Soccer Far West (Region IV) Winner   Crossfire Premier ’90 – P. Lombard Team Competes for National Title in Des Moines, IA – July 25-30, 2006 (Daily results reported below)

Washington State had two winners at the US Youth Soccer 2006  Far West Regionals held in Boise, ID in June 2006 -- GU13 Emerald City White and GU15 Crossfire ‘90 Lombard.     The U14 and older Girls and Boys teams continue on and compete at Nationals in July, 2006.     Emerald City FC F92 White Congratulations to Emerald City’s GU13 Region IV Champs! National Updates:     7/26/06 - Crossfire Lombard played to a 0-0 tie in their first match at Nationals against the Eastern Regional GU 15 champ, New Jersey’s PDA Pride.  They next face Region II’s champs, Illinois’ Eclipse Select.     7/27/06 – The Crossfire Lombard team fell to Illinois’ Eclipse today by a score of 2-1.  They hope to rebound tomorrow in their game against the Dallas Texans. Goal Scorers: Crossfire Premier 90 Lombard – Lucretia Lee (74:00), Eclipse Select – Haley Krentz (15:00) (75:00) S: 9/16 CK: 0/6 F: 7/5 7/28/06 – Crossfire Lombard had to settle for another tie today, as they played a strong Dallas Texas team (Region 3 Champs) to a 2-2 tie.  This means that our girls will not advance.  Crossfire’s Caroline Whiting scored in the 2nd minute for the early lead. It wasn’t until the 53rd minute that the Texan’s Alina Garciamendez and Courtney Heimlich made the most of an opportunity to score in the 55th. In stoppage time Crossfire’s Lucretia Lee scored for the tie.  PDA Pride (NJ) defeated Eclipse Select 1:0 thanks to a goal from Caitlin Conway (53:00). These two teams will meet after Saturday’s day of rest to determine the Under-15 champion at 1:15 PM on Sunday, July 30th.
