Washington Crossfire ’91, the GU14 Super Y League team based out of Redmond, Washington, coached by Peter Hattrup and assisted by Shannon Forslund and Stavros Anastasiou, won the Super Y League National Championship in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday November 21st, 2006.

Sports: Thursday, November 23, 2006 NW Briefs | Redmond girls win national soccer title By Seattle Times staff. The Crossfire Premier Girls 91 U-14 soccer team from Redmond won the Super Y League national championship this week in Tampa. Coached by Peter Hattrup, Crossfire beat CASL from North Carolina 1-0 in the final on a goal by Maggie Graham. Crossfire defender Annelise Sittauer was selected as tournament MVP.

Of the WSYSA State Tournaments, the US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships are the highest level of competition. Teams compete in the US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships for the right to represent Washington State at the US Youth Soccer Far West Region IV Championships.

2007 WSYSA Challenge Cup. The Challenge Cup is WSYSA State Tournament for the Competitive level of competition. It is right below the US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships in skill level. The preliminary games begin in January with the finals tentatively scheduled for February 17-18 and February 24-25. Please note that these schedules are subject to change. Preliminary games are held throughout Washington State, in both Eastern and Western Washington, so winter travel during this tournament is expected.

CHICAGO (Aug. 25, 2006) - U.S. Under-17 head coach John Hackworth named his 18-player roster today for the FA Friendly International Tournament from Aug. 26 to Sept. 3 in England. The U.S. will face England, Portugal and Turkey during the round-robin tournament.

TOYOTA CITY, Japan (August 13, 2006) - The U.S. Under-17 ’90 Men’s National Team battled the Nagoya Grampus youth club to a 2-2 draw in regulation before falling 11-10 in penalty kicks to finish fourth in the Toyota International Championship in Toyota, Japan.

Cocoa Beach, FL is the site of the Super Y League (SYL) ODP camps running for a full month starting January 12, 2006. Players from across the nation have been invited to attend the SYL camps and will participate in training sessions, scrimmages, attend lectures and more. Crossfire Premier will be well represented at this ODP event with numerous players from both the boys and girls sides of the program in attendance. We wish them all a fantastic experience!

The U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program ("ODP") Region IV Championships slated for January 13-16, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Washington State has entered four squads in the competition; both ’88 and ’90 Girls and Boys teams will vie for the Championship and a chance at the national title.
