Gary Megson will be the Foxes’ fifth manager in 18 months and the fourth since Milan Mandaric took control of the club in February. Allen was sacked on 29 August just four games into his tenure following a disagreement with Mandaric. Megson twice achieved promotion to the Premier League with West Brom, in 2002 and 2004. He added: "Leicester is a Premiership club in everything but its divisional status. "The stadium and training ground are both of the highest standard whilst the support is both Premiership standard in its quality and quantity. "In coming to Leicester I am not just working at a Championship club that is happy to plod along. "This club has got ambition to get back into the Premiership and that appeals to me greatly." Megson has previously managed Norwich, Blackpool, Stockport and Stoke before arriving at West Brom.
Neil Megson, Crossfire Premier Asst Coaching Director, was excited at his brother re-employed in the Champions League which is the second league just under the Premiership. Neil added, "I am really proud of my brother’s acheivements and have followed his career since his time with Plymouth. It has been my hobby of mine to follow his results from week to week. Given the right circumstances he has a wonderful opportunity for success".
Neil believes this also offers Crossfire Premier an opportunity and great potential to gain access the competitive younger youth soccer tournaments in the UK. It is common that all the talent get signed signed with the respected professional clubs by U14. Neil adds, "by having connections to the beautiful football facilites like Leicester City FC and others, it opens the doors to competitive exchanges and expereinces during the summer seasons. We can go to facilities like this here in Seattle, but we would be watching the Mariners."
