(January 14, 2008) In preparation for State Cup, the girls U14 Crossfire ’93 Schilperoort traveled to Danville, CA to compete in the Mustang Winter Turf Invitational.  While they had some ups and downs with two wins and one loss in bracket play, the girls hit their stride in the Final with a 6-0 win against Sacramento United Extreme.  Good job girls - now on to State Cup!

(January 14, 2008) Here is a brief explanation of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) selection process and schedule. It is important to realize that for various reasons each age group will be on a slightly different schedule. The age group that I (Steve Crum) am working with this year, 1994 Girls are currently in the "state training group" phase.

(December 10, 2007) Crossfire will be holding a food drive for our local community and the recent Washington flood victims.  Crossfire coaches, parents and players are encouraged to support this effort by donating what they can.  Coordinate your donations at practice or drop them off at Marymoor Park on Wednesday 12/12 or Thursday 12/13 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Tina will be there to load donations into the trailer.  A prize will be given to the coach who brings in the most.

(December 11, 2007) The Crossfire Premier Academy is excited to announce that BU16 goalkeeper Spencer Richey has accepted an invitation to join the US Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida. Spencer caught the National Team’s attention with a very strong outing in May at the 2007 Manchester United Premier Cup Finals. Spencer’s departure marks the fifth Crossfire player to be a part of this prestigious program. 

(December 3, 2007) Adrian Hanauer, owner of the Seattle Sounders, will  speak at the Northwest Entrepreneur Network’s breakfast at the Bellevue Harbor Club on Friday, December 14^th.  His talk will include how he has been working to bring the “big leagues” to Seattle by securing a Seattle franchise from Major League Soccer (MLS). Tickets are available online.

(Nov. 12, 2007) – Crossfire took home 2 Championships in the inaugural Washington Cup in Tukwila, Wash., located just south of Seattle. Sanctioned by US Club Soccer, the Washington Cup was hosted by Starfire Sports with matches contested Nov. 9-11 at the Starfire Sports Soccer Complex. (October 25, 2007) United Soccer Leagues announced Crossfire Premier as the Number One Club in 2007.  This recognition highlights the league’s top competitive and administrative clubs in the US and Canada.  As a Club, Crossfire Premier was #1.  Our Girl’s Program was ranked #2 and our Boy’s Program was ranked 9th in North America.  This year, no other WA or OR clubs or teams made the Top 22 cut. The final 2007 rankings come out after the SYL North American Finals in Nov 16-20th  

(October 1, 2007) Crossfire Premier is excited to announce a College Planning Workshop for every Crossfire player, age U14 and up. The workshop will be held on Saturday October 20th and will consist of four one hour sessions each designed specifically for a grade level. Each session will address the specific needs of that age group. Mark your calendar for Saturday October 20th at Starfire Sports Complex.

(September 27, 2007) The City of Redmond, the City of Woodinville and the King County Parks Department are looking for assistance in the last Sammamish River Trail "Re-Leaf" Habitat Restoration Project of the season. October 13, at the Pedestrian Bridge near 60 Acres Soccer Park.  Make sure to send us your photos!

(September 12, 2007) Crossfire Premier Asst Coaching Director is pleased to announce a new relationship with the Leicester City Football Club.  The English Champions League Foxes are now being lead by Gary Megson, Neil brother.  The eldest Megson has a good track record in guiding clubs to promotion to the English Premier League.

(August 31, 2007) Crossfire Premier and Starfire Sports have announced a partnership involving Crossfire’s US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) starting immediately.  As part of the partnership Crossfire Premier’s U16 and U18 USSDA teams will be holding all of their training sessions at the Starfire Complex using Starfire Stadium as the location for  their home games.

(August 29th, 2007) Crossfire Premier had 5 teams playing at the Chinook Cup Juniors Tournament August 24th-26th in Tigard, Oregon.  The club had a good outing coming home with 2 Championships, 1 Semi-Finalist, 1 Consolation bracket winner, and 1 quarterfinalist.  Congrats!

(August 29, 2007) Crossfire Premier had 8 teams playing at the Pacific Coast Challenge August 24th-26th in Bellingham, Wa.  The club came home with 1 Finalist and 3 Semi-Finalist.  Congrats!

(August 28, 2007) While Crossfire Premier has been hosting tryouts for our USSDA team, US Soccer hosted an event on August 23 in Chicago, IL to go over the details of the US Soccer Development Academy program.  While the coaching staff expects to post tryout results on Crossfire’s USSDA webpage shortly,  Crossfire President, Brian Klein, and former President, Lance McIntosh have the following update from the US Soccer event in Chicago.

(August 21, 2007) Crossfire Premier and Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association (LWYSA) are very proud to formalize and announce its participation as one of 64 clubs across the nation selected to participate in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA).Open tryouts will be held on Sunday, August 26^th from 6pm to 8pm on field #4 at the Starfire Sports Complex and Tuesday, August 28^th from 8pm to 10pm on field #4 at the Starfire Sports Complex. (August 20, 2007) For the third time in as many trips to the W-League final four, the Seattle Crossfire Sounders side won the consolation match to earn a Third Place finish in the league, downing the host Rochester Rhinos in a back-and-forth 2-1 decision Sunday. They previously finished third in 2003 and 2006.

(August 20, 2007) Crossfire had 8 teams play in the 2007 Snohomish Bigfoot Tournament August 16th-19th in Snohomish, Washington.  The club had 4 teams advance out of the preliminary rounds with 1 team reaching the finals and winning. Results of games can be found here. Congrats to all!

(August 20, 2007) Crossfire had 2 teams play in the Sun & Surf International Soccer Tournament in Long Beach, CA. The tournament was held over two weekend with U9-U14 on August 4th-6th and U15-U19 on August 11th-13th. The club had 1 team advance out of the preliminary rounds and reaching the semi-finals. (August 14, 2007) Crossfire had 4 teams play in the 2007 Puma Rimland Pacific Cup August 10th-12th in Bellingham, Washington.  The club had 3 teams advance out of the preliminary  rounds with 2 teams reaching the finals. Results of final games can be found here. Congrats to all!

(August 2, 2007) Crossfire had 35 teams play in the 2007 Nike Crossfire Challenge July 27th to 29th in Redmond Washington.  The club had 16 teams advance out of the preliminary  rounds with 3 teams reaching the finals.  Results of final games can be found here. Congrats to all!

(August 8, 2007) Crossfire Premier sent 10 teams to the first weekend of play at the 27th running of Surf Cup in San Diego the weekend of July 28th-30th and August 4th-6th. Overall Crossfire had an excellent showing with 5 of the 10 teams advancing out of preliminary play with 2 teams reaching the semi-finals.  Congrats to all!

(July 10, 2007) Crossfire Premier had 9 teams competing in 2 tournaments over the July 6th weekend; The Diadora Cup and the Portland Cup. Overall the teams did well with 2 Champions, 1 Finalist, and 1 Semi-Finalist. Congrats to all!

(July 7, 2007) The Crossfire Premier 93 Williams team competed in the 2007 National Cup VI Region G in Boise, ID along with 13 other Crossfire Premier teams this past weekend (6/30-7/3) bringing home the Championship for the GU-13 Super Group.  It was a long hot weekend where Crossfire-Williams advanced out of bracket beating teams from both California & Washington. 

(July 3, 2007) Crossfire Premier 96 Stengrund competed in the Starfire Sports X-treme Cup June 29th to July 1st in Tukwila, WA.  They played in the GU11 Gold Flight finishing as a semi-finalist.  They did well in bracket play losing to the eventual tournament winners.  Great job girls!

(June 21, 2007) Crossfire is proud of the 7 teams that competed in the USYS Region IV (West).  Advancing to the semis were BU12 94 Jenkins, GU13 93 Schilperoort and GU15 91 Hattrup; GU15 91 Hattrup advanced to the finals on Sunday with a heartbreaking 0-1 loss to the So Cal Blues.  Overall Crossfire’s 7 teams had a great showing with a combined 17-10-3 (w-l-t) record.  Read on for a wrap up of the action.

(June 21, 2007)    Crossfire Boys Team 92 Henderson traveled to Modesto, CA for the National Cup VI Region H tournament June 16-19.  Overall they put on a good show advancing out of bracket play and reaching the finals where they lost 0-1 to Monarcas FC from Stockton in the BU14 Super Group.   Great Job Team!

(June 21, 2007) Seven Crossfire Premier teams, 94 T.Jenkins, 93 Schilperoort, 91 Hattrup, 91 James, 90 Lombard, 90 Flory, & 89 James competed in this years USYS Region IV (Far West) Championships.   Read on to see reports/wrapups from the teams! 

(June 18, 2007)  16 Crossfire Teams competed in the PSSA Skagit Firecracker June 15-17 in Burlington, WA.  The club showed well with 6 Champions and 3 Finalists.  Great job!

(June 2007) Crossfire’s own President, Brian Klein, was recently one of several people appointed as a Select Director to the U.S. Soccer Foundation at a recent Board Meeting.  The US Soccer Foundation was established in 1995 to manage the surplus funds generated by the 1994 FIFA World Cup held in the United States.

(June 5, 2007)  Crossfire Premier 93 Schilperoort team playing up and brings home championship in Chinook Cup Seniors Tournament June 2-3 in Tigard, Oregon.  Congrats!

(June 4, 2007) Crossfire welcomes Sean Brazil to its coaching staff effective immediately.  Sean joins Crossfire from Lakewood North Youth Soccer Club where he is a trainer, coach, and Coaching Director.  Sean will be replacing Shawn Percell who recently announced his departure to become an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team at Sonoma State University.

(May 30, 2007)  Crossfire Premier’s Boys team placed 3rd out of 20 teams in the 2007 Nike Manchester United Premier Cup US Finals last weekend (May 24-28). The teams only loss came in the semi-final round to the eventual tournament Champion.

(May 24, 2007) Crossfire Premier is excited to annouce that Bruce Snell and David Andrews, World Cup and Nationally recognized trainers, will be traveling with the Crossfire Premier teams at this years US Youth Soccer Region IV (West) Regional Championships being held in Las Vegas, NV on June 18-24, 2007.

(May 22, 2007)  Crossfire had 16 teams play in the 2007 Sims Honda Skagit River Cup last weekend (May 18-20).  The club ended with 3 Champions, 2 Finalists, and 1 Semi-Finalists. Congrats to all!

(May 15, 2007)  Crossfire had 18 teams play in the 2007 Snohomish United Invitational Tournament the past 2 weekends (May 4-6 & May 11-13).  Over these two weekends the club ended with 4 Champions, 3 Finalists, and 3 Semi-Finalists. Congrats to all! 

(May 9, 2007) This year the Player/Club Development League (PDL) clubs’, boys & girls U14 teams will not be participating in Washington State Premier League (WSPL) and the League Placement Tournament (LPT).  In response we asked some questions of PDL Committee Chair Todd Lincoln and PDL Coaching Director Representative (and Crossfire Coach) Neil Megson.

(May 4, 2007)  Crossfire Premier kicked off the spring/summer tournament season with 15 Crossfire Premier teams playing in the 2007 Starfire Spring Classic, a boys & girls U11-U15 tournament.  As part of the exciting and fast paced play Crossfire Premier teams reached the finals in 6 matches winning in 4.  Congrats to all.

(April 21, 2007)  Crossfire is excited to have the NIKE SPARQ truck in town the week of April 22 to do testing.  This is a unigue opportunity for all Crossfire Premier players.  Each team has been assigned an appointment.  The SPARQ Rating is the first-ever system designed to measure sport-specific athleticism. (UPDATED April 20, 2007)  Crossfire Premier Soccer is hosting Guest Speaker Charlie Kadepski, Founder and CEO of the The Sport Source,  at a seminar the night of Sunday April 22nd at Redmond High School for Parents and Players interested in playing soccer at the College level. The Sport Source is considered "The Official Guide to Sports Colleges and Sports Scholarships".
