San Diego Surf Thanksgiving Tournament
A Finalist and Semi-Finalist
|
(December 2, 2008) Surf FC tournaments attract the best teams in and around California. This year was no exception as both Crossfire’s BU11Dev Black and BU11A teams, coached by Bernie James, played against clubs like Sereno, DMCV, Pateadores and Albion. Crossfire BU11A finished undefeated in group play. The semi-final was a well contested game with DMCV winning 2-1. DMCV were the eventual winners of the tournament over South Bay Force. Crossfire’s BU11Dev also finished group play undefeated. This little group of hard working players met an equally tough opponent in Sereno Boys White. The semi-final game was a nail biter and went to overtime with Crossfire coming out victorious, 3-2. For a first time experience the BU11Dev reaching the finals was a great achievement. Well done to both teams.

This Use Agreement must be approved by the King County Council. Additionally, LWYSA must obtain all required use and building permits from the City of Redmond before development can begin. Crossfire partners with T-Mobile and Nokia
Message from Brian Klein
(May 26, 2008) It has always been part of Crossfire’s mission, as a non-profit organisation, to extend the opportunities that exist within the club to all those who have a passion and talent for the game of soccer, regardless of a players financial background. In order to do this we have traditionally relied on the generosity of the parents and friends of Crossfire. But, in recent years fundraising levels have not been able to fully satisfy the demand from the talented boys and girls interested in playing. Therefore, in order to expand Crossfire’s financial aid program, the Board decided to approach various corporations in our area with a reputation for investing in the community. I am pleased to announce that we have found two such companies in T-Mobile and Nokia. We were able to leverage the global relationship these two companies have in mobile communications to dramatically impact the lives of deserving kids in our community.
