Crossfire Premier conducts open tryouts each year for all of our teams. Tryouts for all ages for the 2008 Boys U11 through U19 and Girls U11 through U19 are now completed. Each year we have over 1,300 players participate in the tryout process and in 2008 we expect to form more than 50 teams rostering in excess of 800 players. Tryouts for each gender and age happen every year shortly after the completion of the Washington State Cup tournament for that age and gender (February, March & May in 2008). Tryouts allow teams to replace players who have dropped off or who have moved on. Tryouts also allow hardworking and ambitious players, who have improved their playing ability, to join stronger or more competitive teams in Crossfire Premier. Tryouts are successful if players and teams are sorted out so that every player eventually finds a team that has a training and competitive plan that fits the player’s interests and needs, with a budget and time commitment that matches the parent’s willingness to support the player.
The announcement of annual tryouts will be made via our website, www.crossfiresoccer.org/tryouts. The dates, time and venues as well as the number of tryouts is determined by the Coaching Directors and coaching staff. The coaching staff will determine how the tryouts are conducted and the process for selecting the final roster.
