XF Boys 05 Tour Barcelona

Crossfire Premier’s boys 05-A team took their spring break in a different direction this year, traveling to sunny Spain for a week of training and games in Barcelona.

Making their first international trip as a team, the boys got their journey started with a bang, visiting iconic Camp Nou to take in the FC Barcelona v. Atletico Madrid match. Their time visiting the Catalan giants didn’t end with watching Messi & Co. take apart La Liga’s second-place side, either, as the next day the team was treated to a tour of La Masia, home of Barca’s world-famous youth academy. A final highlight of the visit was watching Barcelona’s U-16s play a league match versus Sant Gabriel CE.

Sticking with the spring break theme, the team has had plenty of opportunity to visit area beaches, see the sights of the city and explore the local cuisine. Of course, the schedule is also loaded with soccer activity for the team, with training sessions and four friendly matches scheduled for the week. First up, Crossfire B05-A played the 04s from Enskede IK, which is a first-division Swedish professional club located in Stockholm. As the week continues, the boys will take on three Spanish opponents in Barcelona: Sant Cugat Esport FC, CE Vila Olimpica and CE Hospitalet.
