Hassani Dotson, a three-year starter with the Crossfire Academy, picked up an official Man of the Match award following Minnesota United FC’s quarterfinal win over San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS Is Back Tournament in Orlando this past weekend. The 22-year-old is now set to face Orlando City in the tournament semifinals this Thursday at 5 pm Pacific time.
Another XF product, Kelyn Rowe, saw his New England Revolution side bounced from the tournament in the first knockout round. Now in his ninth MLS season, Rowe has returned to the midfield and is enjoying a run in the center of the park. The third XF player on an MLS first-team roster this season, Spencer Richey, didn’t log any minutes in the MLS Is Back Tournament but has started two games this season.
